2018 Tom Sox Roster adds new Princeton Player – David Harding

The 2018 Charlottesville Tom Sox welcome Princeton University infielder David Harding.  The 5’10; 185 pounder from Severna Park, MD attended Archbishop Spalding.

Harding led the Tigers in 2017 with a .318 batting average.  He had 35 hits; 14 runs scored; and 19 RBI while slugging .400 and had an on-base percentage of .364.

For his freshman season efforts, Collegiate Baseball selected Harding as a Freshman All-American (along with 2017 Tom Sox Vinnie Pasquantino and Kyle Battle).  He was also named 2nd Team All Ivy League.

Harding had this to say about joining the Tom Sox “I’m excited to get to know a new group of guys and compete with one of the best summer ball clubs in the country.”

From Tom Sox GM Jeff Burton “I’ve been trying to build a relationship with Princeton for a couple of years and David Harding is a great first player for us from Coach Bradley’s program.  He’s a versatile, having played a lot in the middle infield last spring, but he can also cover a lot of ground in the outfield should we need him there.  We love getting decorated players because while we have limited ability to actually see everyone we sign, postseason awards are typically well researched and add a data point.”

Welcome to the Tom Sox, David Harding and the Princeton Tigers.
