Tom Sox add Bearcat from Lander to 2018 Roster – Sam Linn

The 2018 Charlottesville Tom Sox welcome Sam Linn, junior RHP from Fletcher, NC who attends Lander University.

The 6’9; 210 pound Linn brings tremendous experience with 26 starts on the mound for the Bearcats over the last 2 seasons.  He has maintained a 2 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio.

During the summer 2017 season, Linn played for the Savannah Bananas in the Coastal Plains League.

From Tom Sox GM Jeff Burton “we are really excited about the addition of Sam Linn.  Lander Head Coach Jason Burke does such a great job with pitchers as folks all throughout the industry will attest. He thinks Sam Linn has professional baseball potential and while they may change his role for the 2018 spring season, he expects him to be amongst his staff leaders. From all we hear, Sam is a young man of great integrity too.”

Welcome aboard, Sam.
