Tom Sox welcome George Washington University’s Dom D’Allesandro to 2018 roster.

The 2018 Charlottesville Tom Sox are excited to welcome a truly unique talent, George Washington junior DH/1st Baseman Dom D’Allesandro.

A Glassboro, NJ native, D’Allesandro has played the last 2 seasons at Rowan College in New Jersey.  He is a 2-time NJCAA D3 All-America 2nd Team selection.  He was also an All-Conference 1st Team award winner.  In his freshman season, he helped lead Rowan to the D3 World Series when he batted .360 and led all of NJCAA D3 with 15 home runs.  In his sophomore season, he batted .395 with 22 doubles, 12 home runs, 77 RBI, and 45 runs.

In the summer 2017, along with the Tom Sox own Michael Wielansky, D’Allesandro was named a 1st Team Summer Collegiate All American when he hit .382, with 15 home runs, 49 RBI, and 31 runs scored while playing in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League.

From Dom “I am extremely excited to play for the Tom Sox this summer.  I love to win and I love that I’m joining an organization that puts their team in a position to do that. Internships, great players from high academic schools all over the country, coaches that have experience, a great college town…what’s not to love!”

From Tom Sox GM Jeff Burton “Dom is a very interesting player for us. Never have we had someone play in our organization that has shown such prolific power at the college level.  We have wanted to take a player from Coach Ritchie’s GW program for several years, and when they called to tell us about Dom, we did our homework, and decided this looked like someone we wanted to have on our team.  We are extremely excited to see how he transitions to the rigors of the Atlantic 10 conference this Spring and how he does at one of the nation’s leading academic universities. We believe he can be a real difference maker in our Tom Sox lineup.”

Welcome to the Tom Sox, Dom D’Allesandro.
