Charlottesville Tom Sox take game 1 of Southern Division Finals at home with 7-2 victory over Waynesboro Generals on Monday.

Charlottesville Tom Sox captured the lead in the second inning. Kyle Battle singled on the first pitch of the at bat in the second inning, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Charlottesville Tom Sox tied things up at two. With two outs in the fourth inning Cole Migliorini drove in one run when he homered.

Charlottesville Tom Sox took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Michael Wielansky singled off of Tyler Thompson, driving in one run, Eric Jones hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run, and Ari Sechopoulos singled off of Thompson, driving in two runs.

Connor Gillispie earned the win for Charlottesville Tom Sox. He went seven innings, allowing two runs, four hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Thompson took the loss for Waynesboro Generals. He pitched six innings, allowing six runs, and eight hits.
