Charlottesville Tom Sox Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Strasburg Express

Charlottesville Tom Sox and Strasburg Express traded the lead back-and-forth on Thursday, but eventually Charlottesville Tom Sox prevailed 17-7. Charlottesville Tom Sox took the lead for good in the second inning. The game was tied at two with Charlottesville Tom Sox batting in the top of the second when Michael Wielansky doubled off of Hunter Wolfe, driving in one run.

An early lead helped propel Charlottesville Tom Sox to victory. Higginbotham earned the win for Charlottesville Tom Sox. He went four innings, giving up five runs, nine hits, and striking out four. Michael Dailey threw three innings, as two relievers helped Charlottesville Tom Sox finish off the victory. Wolfe took the loss for Strasburg Express. He tossed two innings, allowing seven runs, eight hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

Home runs for Charlottesville Tom Sox came when Sechopoulos homered in the second inning, Pasquantino homered in the second inning, and Spiers homered in the fourth inning.
