Big Fourth Inning Gives Charlottesville Tom Sox Win Over Waynesboro Generals
A five-run fourth inning led Charlottesville Tom Sox to an 8-2 victory on Saturday. Charlottesville Tom Sox scored on a error , a single by Michael DeRenzi, a single by Bryce Windham, and a double by Michael Wielansky.
Waynesboro Generals took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Evan Sperling scored one run for Waynesboro Generals.
After Waynesboro Generals scored one run in the top of the fifth, Charlottesville Tom Sox answered with one of their own. Waynesboro Generals scored when McClain Bradley singled off of Justin Sorokowski, driving in one run. Charlottesville Tom Sox then answered when Brandon Johnson singled off of Payton Kinney, driving in one run.
