Six Tom Sox Taking Part in 2024 Spring Training

Six former Tom Sox players are taking part in Major League Baseball’s Spring Training, being held across Florida and Arizona from February 22-March 26. The six players include four players who appeared on Major League rosters during the 2023 campaign, while two additional ‘Sox will appear as non-roster invitees for their respective clubs.

Carson Spiers Makes MLB Debut

Former Tom Sox pitcher/infielder and Clemson Tiger Carson Spiers made his MLB debut on Sunday for the Cincinnati Reds, starting on the mound against the Cubs. Spiers is the third former ‘Sox player to make his MLB debut, in the second player in two weeks.

Professional baseball is finally upon us in 2022, and that includes Minor League Baseball - where MLB’s next stars are developed. In 2022, Minor League Baseball (MiLB) will consist of four divisions - Single-A, High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A, and former Tom Sox players are playing in all four. There is also the rookie level, which begins play in mid-June. The Triple-A season began Tuesday, while the rest of the main divisions begin play today, April 8. Let’s check up on how all 21 of your former Sox players are doing in the pros.
