CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA (April 28, 2015) – The Charlottesville Tom Sox have announced a creative admission policy that combines parking and admission for its 2015 season.  Payment of $10 upon entering the park will cover parking and admission for as many as may legally ride in the car.   This special single game rate will be available for each of the 21 home games to be played at Charlottesville High School in June and July.  Walk up admission price will be $2 per person, with children under 10 entering free.

In addition, the Tom Sox announced a “Load ‘em up!” promotion that allows fans to purchase a full season pass online (TomSoxtickets.com) at a savings of $105 over the regular admission price.  The promotion includes:

  • A parking pass that allows one vehicle to park in designated areas at Charlottesville High School during all 21 home games at Charlottesville High School
  • Admission for each of the 21 home games for everyone who can legally fit in the vehicle — LOAD “EM UP!!!
  • Note: season passes are transferable, allowing further ease of use.

Season passes are on sale now through the team’s tomsox.com website, and also online at tomsoxtickets.com.  The season pass covers parking and admission for everyone arriving together in a vehicle for all 21 home games and is an incredible value at $105 (only $5 per game).   The regular price without a season pass will be $10 per vehicle for parking and admission.

“We are excited to offer parking and game tickets together in this inexpensive, easy, fun manner,” said Joe Koshansky, Tom Sox General Manager.  “Fans can load up the family, load up their friends, or load up their youth group and come to the game.  Once they arrive, they have access to our parking lot and everyone in the vehicle gets into the game.

“Part of the appeal of our home field at Charlottesville High School is that we have a great parking lot at our disposal.  The use of season passes makes it so easy for fans.”

Opening Night for the Tom Sox is Tuesday, June 9 against the Covington Lumberjacks.  Game time for all home games is 7:00.  The Tom Sox will play their games at Charlottesville High School, 1400 Melbourne Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

The Charlottesville Tom Sox are a non-profit organization, and the community is encouraged to support the team by purchasing a season pass, even if fans cannot make it to every game.

Additional information will be coming soon about the game experience.  Plans are being made for in-game promotions and fan contests, as well as food and beverage options.

Of the 21 home games on the Tom Sox schedule, three are on Tuesdays, four are on Wednesdays, five are on Thursdays, two are on Fridays, four are on Saturdays, and three are on Sundays.  The Valley League schedule is dark on Mondays in order to facilitate make-up games.
