After the fourth full week of the 2026 season, the ‘Sox have been tearing it up on the diamond.

The numbers back that up in more ways than one. Check out the latest trends, advanced stats and category leaders in this edition of ‘Sox Stat Fax.

LIMITING THE DAMAGE

The ‘Sox now have the second-lowest opponent OPS in the Valley League at a .703 clip, having allowed 27 doubles, one triple and 9 home runs this season.

Among other categories, Brandon Dahlman (Liberty) has consistently limited the damage the most for the Tom Sox at a .324 opponent OPS through 16.1 innings.

Lucas Cash (Bridgewater) and Evan Alwine posted quality starts in the wins on Wednesday and Friday, contributing to a .380 opponent OPS and combining to allow only nine baserunners in 14 innings.

RECENT SUCCESSES

Chase Jackson ended the week on an eight-game reached base streak, having posted a .485 on-base percentage since its beginning on June 10. Jackson also recently snapped a team-leading four-game hitting streak.

Luke Craddock now leads the ‘Sox with a four-game hitting streak and is now the first player on the team with back-to-back-to-back games with doubles this year.

After starting the season hitless in his first 10 at-bats, Brayden Bachman has now hit in each of his last three games. Bachman is 4 for his last 11, leading to a .190 batting average on the season.

STAYING PATIENT

The Tom Sox are now second in the VBL South Division and fourth overall in the league with a 15.4 percent walk rate.

Four ‘Sox batters have a walk rate of above 20 percent, which include Sam Summerlin (26.5), Dom Cafferillo (Georgetown) (26.1), Brock Clayton (24.4) and Caiden Combs (Auburn) (23.4).

Once tied for 10th in the Valley League in walks, the ‘Sox are now fifth in the league with 140. Tommy Landsnes and Xavier McCoury (Liberty) each have 14 walks and lead the team.

BRINGING THE BOOM

The ‘Sox hit home runs in back-to-back games for the first time since May 30–31 after Cafferillo and Bryce Neely (Virginia) hit solo home runs on Friday and Saturday.

Cafferillo is fourth on the team in slugging percentage (.375) and is currently riding a nine-game on-base streak since June 4.

Neely now leads the ‘Sox in home runs (2) and slugging percentage (.410) this season, as he is the only player on the team with a double, triple and a home run.

UP NEXT

The ‘Sox travel to face the Front Royal Cardinals on Wednesday, with the first pitch set for 7 p.m. EST.
