HARRISONBURG, Va. - Eleven unanswered runs from the fifth until the ninth inning helped the Tom Sox prevail 12-4 in a divisional matchup against the Harrisonburg Turks.

Three 'Sox recorded multi-RBI nights in a game in which all 9 starters reached base.

Clayton Armah (Auburn) made his fourth start of the season for the squad, looking to bounce back from his last appearance in which he surrendered eight runs to Waynesboro.

After Armah allowed a run in the second, Charlottesville found the board in the top of the fourth when the team loaded the bases, and Chase Jackson was able to bring home a runner on a fielder's choice.

Armah would exit in the fourth inning with two outs, finishing his day at 3.2 innings pitched. Trevor Booton (Auburn) entered and allowed two inherited runners to score, but limited any further damage.

Will Yow (Virginia) singled to lead off the fifth for Charlottesville, and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Caiden Combs (Auburn).

Still trailing by a run, the 'Sox flipped the script on the ballgame in the sixth.

Luke Craddock led off with a single; he was joined on base by Lucas Ream (Shippensburg) after a hit by pitch. Jackson then walked to load the bases for Xavier McCoury (Liberty), who drove two in with a single to give the 'Sox the lead. Yow knocked in another two for the 'Sox and came around to score on a wild pitch alongside Tommy Landsnes. By the time the third out was recorded, the 'Sox had scored six to take an 8-3 lead.

After a scoreless fifth, Booton gave way to Conner Hedgepeth in the sixth, who worked a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. Hedgepeth continued into the seventh and once again held the Turks scoreless.

Charlottesville added two more in the eighth with Aiden Harris bringing a run in via a sacrifice fly, and Landsnes scoring on another wild pitch.

Yow picked up his third RBI of the night in the ninth with a sac fly, and Combs drove in his second run with his first hit as a member of the Tom Sox.

Anthony Mancini worked through the eighth and ninth innings for Charlottesville, allowing one run but slamming the door shut to give the 'Sox the 12-4 lead.

UP NEXT: Charlottesville (4-9) returns to CHO Airport Field to take on the New Market Rebels (9-5) in interdivision play. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
