The Charlottesville Tom Sox (29-15) fell to the Purcellville Cannons (29-15) by a 21-8 final on Wednesday night at Fireman’s Field. It was a packed house for the Cannons, who hit two grand slams and scored the most runs ever by a ‘Sox opponent.

Tom Sox Crush Culpeper to Advance to VBL Championship

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (28-14) cruised to a 19-2 win over the Culpeper Cavaliers (22-22) on Sunday night, punching a ticket to their third consecutive VBL championship series and sixth in franchise history. Charlottesville tied the franchise record for most runs scored in a game while securing the mercy rule win over Culpeper in front of a packed, “Green Out” crowd at Willie T. Barnett Field.

Tom Sox Drop Game One of South Division Championship

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (26-14) fell in game one of the 2024 VBL South Championship on Friday night. The Culpeper Cavaliers (22-20), backed by a stellar start from Tyler Kaltreider, traveled to Charlottesville High School and took a 4-1 victory home with them. 

Tom Sox Drop Rain-Shortened Game in Culpeper

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (26-13) came up short at Culpeper County High School on Monday night in their final road trip of the regular season. The Culpeper Cavaliers (20-19) plated two quick runs to take an early lead and held on just long enough to earn the win amidst inclement weather that would cut the game short.

Tom Sox Downed by Covington 6-2

The Charlottesville Tom Sox fell to the Covington Lumberjacks 6-2 on Sunday night at Casey Field. Colby Wallace (East Carolina) went 3-for-4 on the evening with two singles and a double at the dish despite the final score in favor of the Lumberjacks.

Tom Sox Toppled by Turks in Extras

After a grueling pitchers' duel, the Harrisonburg Turks (18-9) bested the Charlottesville Tom Sox (20-9) in extra innings at Charlottesville High School on Thursday evening. The visitors posted two runs in the top of the tenth to break the tie and take a 3-1 victory on 'Virginia Athletics Night' at the ballpark. 

Belyeu’s Bomb Backs Tom Sox in 9-5 Win

On “Festivus Night” at the ballpark, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (13-4) were the masters of their domain, saying “no soup (or win) for you” to the Harrisonburg Turks (8-8) with a 9-5 victory. The Seinfeld tribute was a hit for the ‘Sox as they defeated the Turks for the first time this season in front of a nice crowd at Willie T. Barnett Field. C’Ville was backed by a Cade Belyeu (Auburn) three-run homer in his return to the lineup that highlighted a six-run bottom of the second.

Waynesboro’s Offensive Outburst Stymies ‘Sox Six-Game Win Streak

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (12-4) saw their six-game win streak snapped on the road at Kate Collins field against the Waynesboro Generals (8-9) on Thursday night, falling by a score of 10-6.

Early Fireworks Propel Tom Sox over Lumberjacks

On a beautiful Tuesday evening at Willie T. Barnett Field, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (6-2) used an early offensive explosion to propel them to a 10-6 victory over the Covington Lumberjacks (3-4). The ‘Sox sent all the fans home happy on Healthcare Worker Appreciation Night, but none happier than two fans who got engaged at the yard.

Three Homers Propel Tom Sox to First Road Victory

With clear eyes and full hearts, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (4-1) defeated the Culpeper Cavaliers (1-3) 10-2 under the Friday night lights of Culpeper County High School.
