‘Sox Fall Short in 10-4 Loss at the Turks

A cool night at James Madison University's Eagle Field on Monday set the stage for the first half of a two-part series against the Harrisonburg Turks (13-8). The Charlottesville Tom Sox (17-6) were hoping to get a win in their first game after the VBL’s All-Star Weekend, but instead fell short in a 10-4 loss.

A balmy evening at Charlottesville High School set the stage for a heated rematch between the Charlottesville Tom Sox (8-3) and the Culpeper Cavaliers (2-8). Having lost to the ‘Sox twice already this season, the Cavaliers hoped to redeem themselves but came up just short in a marathon, eleven-inning ballgame.

Belyeu’s Two Home Runs Lead Tom Sox to First Win

After a season-opening loss on the road, the Tom Sox redeemed themselves against the Culpeper Cavaliers at home on Saturday evening with a dominant 10-3 win. The Tom Sox looked comfortable on their home field as they bounced back from Friday night’s loss in Staunton.
