In what was the highest scoring game of the season for Charlottesville, a huge fifth-inning rally and a grand slam from Cooper Blauser weren't enough to earn a win on Women in Sports and Host Family Appreciation Night at Charlottesville High School.

‘Sox Slug Past Staunton on Scorching Sunday

On a blazing Sunday afternoon at Charlottesville High School, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (22-9) topped the Staunton Braves (13-19), 10-4, on ‘Western Day’ at the ballpark. After the Braves struck early, Colby Wallace (East Carolina) powered the ‘Sox offense with three RBI as Charlottesville caught fire and earned another home victory.

Lavey’s Walk-Off Homer Secures Win Over Generals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (17-5) battled back in the ninth inning against the Waynesboro Generals (9-13) to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win on Friday Night at Charlottesville High School. Chase Stryker showed up big time with a career-high of seven strikeouts for the season, and Robbie Lavey sent the ‘Sox home smiling with a walk-off two-run home run.

‘Sox Slug in Sizzling Heat for 11-5 Win over Staunton

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (14-4) blazed through Saturday’s summer heat on the road against the Staunton Braves (10-9) after a fast start from the offense. Capitalizing on multiple errors, stolen bases, and a major home run by Johnnie Lopez (Seminole State), the ‘Sox earned an 11-5 win to maintain their stranglehold on the VBL South Division.

Roldan’s Clutch Hit Helps ‘Sox Win Sixth-Straight

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (12-3) escaped Culpeper with a win on Wednesday night, squeaking out a 4-3 victory over the Cavaliers (4-11) thanks to some late-inning heroics at the plate by Tommy Roldan (Virginia). The ‘Sox have now won six-straight games and eight of their last ten, building on their VBL-best record and three-and-a-half-game lead in the South Division.

Harrisonburg’s Offensive Explosion Hands the Tom Sox their First Home Loss

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (5-2) took their first home loss of the season on Sunday afternoon in a back-and-forth, 12-8 battle against the Harrisonburg Turks (3-4). After scoring four runs in the first inning and tying the game in the fourth, the ‘Sox were unable to keep up with Harrisonburg’s potent offense to complete a late-inning comeback.

Tom Sox Spin Two-Hitter in Dominant Win over Generals

After coming off the first win of the season, the Tom Sox extended their success in Charlottesville against the Waynesboro Generals on Sunday. Starter James Hays struck out four and a pair of ‘Sox hitters hit home runs as the ‘Sox 2-hit the Generals in a game ended by run rule, 16-1.
