A beautiful sunset backdrop painted the picture at Culpeper High School for a meeting between the Charlottesville Tom Sox (24-10) and the Culpeper Cavaliers (17-18). In an offensive shootout with five total lead changes, the Tom Sox fell in walk-off fashion to the Cavaliers, 6-5.

‘Sox Drop Marathon Game in Staunton

On a humid evening at John Moxie Memorial Stadium, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (20-8) dropped a slugfest against the Staunton Braves (12-14) by a score of 11-10 in 11 innings. Despite multiple rallies throughout the contest, the ‘Sox fell just short in a four-and-a-half-hour affair – the longest contest by time in team history (4:35).

Charlottesville’s Offense Surges in Dominant Win over Waynesboro

A humid and hot evening at Kate Collins Field painted the picture for a sixth matchup between the top and bottom of the South Division — the Charlottesville Tom Sox (19-7) and the Waynesboro Generals (9-16). The Tom Sox used a dominant offensive showing - including a game-high five RBI from outfielder Jake Books (Coastal Carolina) to take home a 16-4, rain-shortened win.

A flaming hot night at Charlottesville High School set the stage for a rematch between two of the top three teams in the South Division — the Charlottesville Tom Sox (9-3) and the Waynesboro Generals (6-7).

Tom Sox Fall on Road to Hot Harrisonburg Bats

It was a warm night on the road at Veterans Memorial Field as the Charlottesville Tom Sox (6-3) were looking to flip the script against the Harrisonburg Turks (5-4) after falling to them this past Sunday in Charlottesville. But an early offensive spark by Harrisonburg and a cold night for Charlottesville’s bats powered the Turks to a dominant 10-1 victory.
