Testimonials
“Working for the Tom Sox was the best summer internship I could've had. It was awesome to be able to try my hand at all aspects from play by play to making packages to social media and more. Besides the invaluable experience, it was just an incredibly fun time in a great community. I would do it all over again in a second.”
“My time with the Tom Sox was really fun and it taught me a lot about baseball. Getting to work games and talk about the game with my coworkers on a nightly basis gave me a deeper understanding of both the strategy of the game and the technical scoring of the game.”
"Interning with the Tom Sox allowed me to learn more about various sports careers and build connections with fellow interns, players, and intellectuals who gave great insight into the impact I could have on the sports world. I recommend this internship to anyone looking to broaden their interest in sports and marketing while building meaningful connections!"
I have always dreamed of working for a sports team, and this summer working for the Tom Sox made that a reality. The Tom Sox allowed me to grow personally and professionally. This organization truly allowed me to have creative freedom and supported me every step of the way.
“In addition to a fun and amazing summer, my internship with the Tom Sox allowed me to gain valuable experience both in front of and behind the camera. The knowledge gained helped me land an internship with NBC Sports Washington that fall and I am still with the network as a Pre/Post Producer for our Wizards coverage.”
“Working for the Tom Sox this past summer was an amazing experience that helped me grow so much as a journalist. Not only did I get broadcasting reps, but I got to write game recaps, take photos, host podcasts, and even make graphics for social media. I wouldn’t have improved like I did without the Tom Sox media program, and I made so many amazing new friends I will be in contact with forever! Charlottesville was such a welcoming community from the time I came to town, and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else for my final summer internship as a college student.”
