Three Former Tom Sox Selected on Day Two of MLB Draft

Three former Tom Sox players were selected on the second day of the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, as announced by their respective clubs on Monday (July 15). Players selected include 2023 ‘Sox pitcher Davian Garcia (Florida Gulf Coast), 2022 pitcher Fisher Jameson (Florida), and 2022 first baseman/outfielder Carter Cunningham (East Carolina).

19 Tom Sox Named to All-Conference Teams

A total of 19 Tom Sox players, spanning seasons 2019-24, were named to their respective All-Conference teams this week (beginning May 20). Five of the 19 came from The American, while the remainder were spread out among other conferences near the east coast.

Tom Sox Season Ends With 9-5 Loss to Turks in VBL Championship

After 64 days, the marathon 2023 season came to an end as the Charlottesville Tom Sox (32-20) fell to the Harrisonburg Turks (34-16) in game two of the Valley Baseball League championship series.

DOWN BUT NEVER OUT: Tom Sox Complete Improbable Comeback to Force Game Three

After dropping game one of the Valley League Semifinals, the Charlottesville Tom Sox traveled to First Bank Park to face the Strasburg Express with the season on the line. In a back-and-forth affair, Charlottesville stormed back from a 9-4 deficit in the eighth inning with a slew of clutch home runs to preserve the season.
