DOWN BUT NEVER OUT: Tom Sox Complete Improbable Comeback to Force Game Three

After dropping game one of the Valley League Semifinals, the Charlottesville Tom Sox traveled to First Bank Park to face the Strasburg Express with the season on the line. In a back-and-forth affair, Charlottesville stormed back from a 9-4 deficit in the eighth inning with a slew of clutch home runs to preserve the season. 

Late Comeback and Eggert’s Big Night Advance Tom Sox to Semifinals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox hosted the Front Royal Cardinals in the win-or-go-home rubber match of round one of the Valley League playoffs. The ‘Sox did not lead until the bottom of the eighth inning in which they rallied to secure a 4-2 victory and advance to face the Strasburg Express in the semifinals.

Tom Sox Split Sunday Doubleheader with Royals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox started a four day, seven game stretch Sunday afternoon with a doubleheader against the Winchester Royals. The ‘Sox started out the day red hot, winning 10-0 by run rule; but cooled down as the day went on, falling in game two 7-5.

Tom Sox Host Lumberjacks on Bark in the Park Night

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (22-11) will face the Covington Lumberjacks (18-17) on Bark in the Park Night at CHO Airport Field. It will be broadcast live on the Tom Sox Facebook page and Tom Sox TV. First pitch is set for 7 P.M.
