Lavey’s Walk-Off Homer Secures Win Over Generals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (17-5) battled back in the ninth inning against the Waynesboro Generals (9-13) to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win on Friday Night at Charlottesville High School. Chase Stryker showed up big time with a career-high of seven strikeouts for the season, and Robbie Lavey sent the ‘Sox home smiling with a walk-off two-run home run.

Ethan Sutton Named VBL South Pitcher of the Week

 Tom Sox righty Ethan Sutton (So., Cartersville, Ga./Georgia) was named the Valley League South Division Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday (June 17). Sutton is the second-straight Tom Sox player to be awarded with a weekly honor, following Cade Belyeu's Player of the Week honor last week.
