Tom Sox Shut Down Generals Late, Win 5-4 in Waynesboro

The Charlottesville Tom Sox used two big innings and multiple clutch pitching performances to down the Waynesboro Generals 5-4 on Friday. The game was moved from Charlottesville to Waynesboro due to field conditions at Charlottesville High School, but it proved no difference to the Tom Sox as they move one win away from a Valley League Championship appearance.

Tom Sox Outduel Lumberjacks, Advance to Division Championship

The Charlottesville Tom Sox completed a clean sweep of the Covington Lumberjacks to advance to the semifinals of the Valley League Playoffs. With the series win, the Tom Sox will face the Waynesboro Generals for the Division championship.

Tom Sox Set for Doubleheader with Harrisonburg

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (22-14) will face the Harrisonburg Turks (24-12) in two 9-inning games today at Charlottesville High School. It will be broadcast live on the Tom Sox Facebook page and Tom Sox TV. First pitch for the first game is set for 3 P.M., with the second to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Game two will also be the annual Bark in the Park night.

Season-High 18 Hits Propel Tom Sox to 13-5 Win over Braves

The Charlottesville Tom Sox defeated the Staunton Braves in their final game at Moxie Stadium, 13-5. The ‘Sox had a season-high 18 hits and hit three home runs in the game, mirroring the season finale last season which also featured three long balls hit.
