A beautiful sunset backdrop painted the picture at Culpeper High School for a meeting between the Charlottesville Tom Sox (24-10) and the Culpeper Cavaliers (17-18). In an offensive shootout with five total lead changes, the Tom Sox fell in walk-off fashion to the Cavaliers, 6-5.

Tom Sox Navigate Thunderstorms to Earn Pair of Wins

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (24-9) and Waynesboro Generals (13-22) battled the elements to get a doubleheader underway on Wednesday evening at Charlottesville High School. After a two-hour rain and lightning delay pushed the first matchup back to 7:05 p.m., the ‘Sox slugged their way to an 11-1 victory.

‘Sox Slug Past Staunton on Scorching Sunday

On a blazing Sunday afternoon at Charlottesville High School, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (22-9) topped the Staunton Braves (13-19), 10-4, on ‘Western Day’ at the ballpark. After the Braves struck early, Colby Wallace (East Carolina) powered the ‘Sox offense with three RBI as Charlottesville caught fire and earned another home victory.

Tom Sox Extend Division Lead with Road Win over Turks

Ryan Wynn set a Tom Sox record with two triples as the Charlottesville Tom Sox (21-9) defeated the Harrisonburg Turks (18-10) by a 9-3 score at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday. Wynn drove in four of Charlottesville’s nine runs as they extended their South division lead back to two games.
