Despite the hot and humid weather, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (20-7) celebrated Holidays on the Hill Night with an 8-5 win over the Culpeper Cavaliers (10-14) on Saturday evening at Charlottesville High School.

Lavey’s Walk-Off Homer Secures Win Over Generals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (17-5) battled back in the ninth inning against the Waynesboro Generals (9-13) to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win on Friday Night at Charlottesville High School. Chase Stryker showed up big time with a career-high of seven strikeouts for the season, and Robbie Lavey sent the ‘Sox home smiling with a walk-off two-run home run.

Wynn and Roldan Power the ‘Sox to a Win on Tom-Stock Night

The sweltering heat did not keep fans away from the festivities of the first-ever Tom Stock Night at Charlottesville High School as the Tom Sox (11-3) hosted the Covington Lumberjacks (5-9). A packed house and three-hit evenings by Ryan Wynn (Wofford) and Tommy Roldan (Virginia) fueled the home team to an 11-2 win, its fifth-straight and 11th of the season overall.

Tom Sox Toss One-Hitter in Revenge Game Win over the Braves

Less than a week ago in the season opener, the Charlottesville Tom Sox (3-1) fell to the Staunton Braves (3-2) in a nail-biting 9-8 ballgame. But on Star Wars Night at Willie T. Barnett Field on Thursday night, assistant coach Scott Stricklin led Charlottesville to a 10-0 run-rule victory in eight innings after the Charlottesville pitching staff tossed its first shutout of the young season.
