  • Played for the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken League along with Pirate teammates Merritt Beeker, Luke Nowak and Erik Ritchie

  • Compiled a 2-1 record with a miniscule 0.80 earned run average with 34 strikeouts against eight walks in 22.1 innings of work

Tom Sox Face Turks for 2023 Valley Baseball League Championship

The 1-seed Charlottesville Tom Sox (32-18) will face the 2-seed Harrisonburg Turks (32-16) in a best-of-three series for the Valley Baseball League Championship beginning Thursday. Games one and three (if necessary) will be played at CHO Airport Field at 7 p.m., while game two will take place at Harrisonburg’s Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Perkins Highlights List of Five Tom Sox Players Selected for VBL Awards

Five Tom Sox players received recognition from the Valley League for their performance during the 2023 season, as announced by the league on July 31 and August 1.
