Corbin’s Corner: Tom Sox Eying Fourth VBL Title

After a brief hiatus, Corbin’s Corner is back to get you caught up on the Charlottesville Tom Sox (26-13) who wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday night and who now turn their attention toward a playoff run and, hopefully, securing the fourth VBL championship in franchise history.

Tom Sox Drop Rain-Shortened Game in Culpeper

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (26-13) came up short at Culpeper County High School on Monday night in their final road trip of the regular season. The Culpeper Cavaliers (20-19) plated two quick runs to take an early lead and held on just long enough to earn the win amidst inclement weather that would cut the game short.

Blauser’s Slam Not Enough as ‘Sox Fall to Culpeper

One day after clinching the VBL South Division, the Charlottesville Tom Sox fell short against the Culpeper Cavaliers by a score of 15-11. In what was the highest scoring game of the season for Charlottesville, a huge fifth-inning rally and a grand slam from Cooper Blauser weren't enough to earn a win on Women in Sports and Host Family Appreciation Night at Charlottesville High School.
