Ryan Mossman joins the Tom Sox coaching staff for the 2018 season where his primary duties will include managing the pitching staff. Mossman comes to Charlottesville from NCAA D3 Emory University where he is in his first season as the pitching coach.
Mossman played one season for NAIA Point University and three seasons for D3 Shenandoah University. While playing for Shenandoah, Mossman was elected as a captain in his senior season and was named second team All-ODAC Utility and second team All-Region honors from the ABCA his Junior season. Currently Mossman is 8th in career ERA and 6th in Saves all time in Shenandoah history.
Also, Mossman has written baseball analytic pieces for fangraphs.com, d3baseball.com and has spoken at the annual Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture on the analytic value of a win.
Mossman, originally from Bedford, NH, resides in Marietta, Ga with his wife Mattie.
