Sean Getman enters his second summer as an assistant coach for the Tom Sox in 2018. Getman was part of the coaching staff in 2017 when the team won the Valley League championship. Getman assists with the overall development of the Tom Sox position players and coaches first base.
During the school year he is an assistant coach for the Franklin College Grizzlies in Franklin, Indiana.
As a player, Getman played at SUNY Cortland from 2015-2017. The Oneonta, NY native played infield for the Red Dragons, seeing time as a first and third baseman. Getman was on the team when the Red Dragons won the 2015 national championship. He has been a part of two conference titles, two regional championships, and two World Series appearances.
