Travis Thomas, former Assistant Baseball Coach for Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C., where he was responsible for development of pitchers, weightlifting activities, and camp duties.
Thomas is a four-year letter winner at the Virginia Military Institute where he led the squad to a No. 23 national ranking in 2010. Thomas also served as VMI’s team and academic captain as a senior and left the program ranked fifth all-time in single-season strikeouts per nine innings (10.18) and sixth all-time in single season appearances (28). In the summer of 2011, Thomas was a member of the Rockbridge Rapids and was selected to the Valley League All-Star Team. Thomas returned to Rockbridge in 2013 and served as the team’s pitching coach.
A native of Fredericksburg, Va., Thomas graduated from Riverbend High School and currently resides in Hickory, N.C.
