The Charlottesville Tom Sox split their doubleheader with the Winchester Royals Sunday. In game one, the Royals were able to capitalize on the ‘Sox pitching woes in a 5-0 victory. Then in the second game, the ‘Sox bounced back with a 4-2 walk-off win.

Tom Sox Fall at Strasburg in First Game in Six Days

After five straight days of rain cancellations and postponements, the Charlottesville Tom Sox finally returned to the field Saturday night to face the Strasburg Express on the road. The ‘Sox ultimately fell 4-1, showing some rust as they failed to generate enough offense to take down the new Valley League leaders. 

Tom Sox Travel to Front Royal for Second Time in Seven Days

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (7-5) will face the Front Royal Cardinals (7-6) tonight at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal. It will be broadcast live on the Royal Examiner website. First pitch is set for 7 P.M.

Charlottesville Suffers First Road Loss After Comeback Bid Falls Short

The Charlottesville Tom Sox faced the Front Royal Cardinals Sunday at Bing Crosby Stadium, scoring three runs in the ninth but ultimately falling 9-6. Charlottesville entered the game looking to come back from Saturday night’s loss and to continue their consecutive 6-game win streak against the Cardinals, but ultimately fell three runs short and lost their first road game of the young season.

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (1-1) took on the Covington Lumberjacks (1-1) at Casey Field in Covington Friday, cruising to an 8-1 victory in which they never trailed.
