This was the first time Charlottesville faced Lumberjacks since June 9, and they got a first-hand look at the new energy of the Tom Sox. Unfortunately, the ‘Jacks were able to overcome adversity and defeat the Tom Sox 7-6 after ten innings.

The Charlottesville Tom Sox defeated the Waynesboro Generals on the road Tuesday, 8-3. The Tom Sox keep their first place spot in the Valley League, as well as add to their winning streak.

Three-Run Ninth Propels Tom Sox Over Generals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (4-5) snapped their two-game losing streak Wednesday, edging out the Waynesboro Generals (5-5) 10-7 at Kate Collins Field. The hitting struggles continued for much of the game for the ‘Sox. At one point of the game, they had five runs on one hit. They were able to get the bats going a little, recording seven hits total. It was a back-and-forth game throughout, but Charlottesville held on for a much-needed win.
