Tom Sox Split Sunday Doubleheader with Royals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox started a four day, seven game stretch Sunday afternoon with a doubleheader against the Winchester Royals. The ‘Sox started out the day red hot, winning 10-0 by run rule; but cooled down as the day went on, falling in game two 7-5.

Tom Sox/Royals First Pitch Moved to 1 P.M.

Due to an issue with the lights at Bridgeforth Stadium in Winchester, first pitch for today’s doubleheader has been moved up to 1 P.M. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Charlottesville Tom Sox split their doubleheader with the Winchester Royals Sunday. In game one, the Royals were able to capitalize on the ‘Sox pitching woes in a 5-0 victory. Then in the second game, the ‘Sox bounced back with a 4-2 walk-off win.

After sliding below .500 once again, the Charlottesville Tom Sox rode into Winchester on a mission. Clicking on all cylinders, the ‘Sox crushed the Winchester Royals twice by out-scoring them 9-3.

Tom Sox Travel to Winchester for Doubleheader

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (10-11) will face the Winchester Royals (11-12) in a cross-division doubleheader today at Bridgeforth Field in Winchester. It will be broadcast live on the Royals Facebook page. First pitch for game one is set for 2:30 P.M., with the second game to follow approximately 30 minutes after the first.

Charlottesville Tom Sox Split Doubleheader Against the Winchester Royals

The Charlottesville Tom Sox took the field late on Father’s Day and split a doubleheader against the Winchester Royals, winning the first game 3-4 and losing the second one 7-0. A back and forth first game went into an extra inning, but a double from Wyatt Langford (Florida) gave Charlottesville their second consecutive home walk-off victory. The second game was all Winchester, resulting in a 7-0 loss.

The Charlottesville Tom Sox (9-3) will face the Winchester Royals (6-3) in two 7-inning games today at Charlottesville High School. They will be broadcast live on the Tom Sox Facebook page and Tom Sox TV. First pitch for game 1 is set for 5 P.M., with the second to follow 30 minutes after the first.
