Harrisonburg, VA – The South Division All-Stars defeated the North Division All-Stars 10-4 Sunday night at Memorial Stadium on the campus of James Madison University.

Three Charlottesville Tom Sox players participated in the game.

Brooks Crawford (Clemson) started the game on the mound for the South team and pitched a perfect first inning. He started with a strikeout, followed by two ground outs. All pitchers in the All-Star game were only given the opportunity to pitch one inning each. This was Crawford’s final appearance as a member of the Tom Sox.

Bruce Steel (Wake Forest) came in as a substitute in the fifth inning to play SS. Steel went 2-3 at the plate, with two singles and scored two runs. Steel was also perfect in the field.

Riley Arnone (Winthrop) pitched the eighth inning for the South team. Like Crawford, Arnone retired all three batters that he faced in his one inning of work. Two of the three outs were assisted by his Tom Sox teammate, Steel.

Charlottesville returns to C-Ville Weekly Ballpark Tuesday night for a 7:00 pm match up with the Staunton Braves.
