The Charlottesville Tom Sox organization (Charlottesville Community Baseball, Inc.) and long-time partner Crutchfield Corporation are announcing today (May 11, 2021) that they have signed a three-year naming rights deal for the ballpark at Charlottesville High School. The park will now officially be known as Crutchfield Park, home of the Charlottesville Tom Sox.
Said the Tom Sox organization, “Crutchfield has been and continues to be a tremendous community partner. They have been with us since the early days of the Tom Sox, and their support has helped us transform this organization into one of the finest summer baseball operations in the country. We cannot wait to welcome our fans to the freshly-named Crutchfield Park on June 5 for the first time.”
The 2021 Tom Sox begin play at Crutchfield Park on June 5, when the ‘Sox are scheduled to host Covington. The 2021 schedule features 42 games, 21 of which are at home. 30 games are against division opponents (Covington, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro), and the remaining 12 are doubleheaders against North opponents. As previously announced, admission to all games at Crutchfield Park will be free for the 2021 season courtesy of Carter Bank & Trust.
