The Charlottesville Tom Sox announced their promotional schedule today (June 1), which features some new and returning promotions for everyone to enjoy. The schedule is as follows:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Charlottesville Tom Sox announced their promotional schedule today (June 1), which features some new and returning promotions for everyone to enjoy. The schedule is as follows:

 

JUNE 12: SCOUT NIGHT (vs New Market – Doubleheader)

All youth scouts are invited to the ballpark for scout-themed promotions and more! Scouts will throw out the first pitch and will announce Tom Sox batters over the PA (details TBD).

 

JUNE 16: CANCER SURVIVOR NIGHT (vs Staunton)

The Tom Sox will honor local cancer survivors throughout the night.

 

JUNE 19: FATHER’S DAY & VIA DAY (vs Purcellville – Doubleheader)

The Tom Sox will have special Father’s Day themed-promotions and additional activities TBA. We will also welcome our friends from the Virginia Institute of Autism to the game.

 

JUNE 29: HEALTHCARE APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)

All individuals within the public health sector are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.

 

JULY 1: CHRISTMAS IN JULY (vs Staunton)

Happy Holidays! Break out your favorite Christmas garb for Christmas in July, featuring special Christmas-themed promotions, Christmas music, and a ballpark decked in holly.

 

JULY 2: FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT (vs Covington)

All police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.

 

JULY 5: MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Covington)

All active-duty military and military veterans are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night. Featuring a special first pitch and singing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

 

JULY 9: BARK IN THE PARK NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)

Everyone’s favorite night at the ballpark is back! We welcome our furry friends to the ballpark, where they will be heavily featured in Tom Sox promotions. Note: All dogs must be on a leash

 

JULY 13: UVA SPORTS NIGHT (vs Staunton)

The Tom Sox invite current and former UVA athletes to the ballpark for a night of Cavalier-themed fun. The Tom Sox will honor UVA’s ACC & NCAA championships and feature UVA athletes in pre and in-game promotions. Be sure to know the Good ‘Ol Song before you make it!

 

JULY 14: EDUCATOR APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Waynesboro)

All educators, administrators, and related individuals are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.

 

JULY 21: WOMEN IN SPORTS NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)

The Tom Sox will spotlight local & national women in sports throughout the night.

 

Further details on specific promotional nights will be released closer to their dates.

 

The Charlottesville Tom Sox open their season on Friday (June 3), before hosting the Covington Lumberjacks in the home opener on Saturday, June 4. Admission and parking to all home games is free courtesy of Carter Bank & Trust.

Wyatt Langford Makes Rangers Opening Day Roster

It was only a matter of time, but the future is now. Texas Rangers Manager Bruce Bochy announced Friday that former Tom Sox star Wyatt Langford, the fourth overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft, will begin his season on the Major League roster for the defending World Series champions.
