CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Charlottesville Tom Sox are officially unveiling their 2021 Promotional Schedule. The schedule features eight different promotional events, each of which will be planned by Tom Sox promotions interns.
JUNE 24: PUBLIC HEALTH APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Covington)
All individuals within the public health sector and on the front lines fighting COVID-19 are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.
JUNE 25: UVA NIGHT (vs Staunton)
Everyone affiliated with the University of Virginia and Virginia Athletics are invited to enjoy a night of baseball.
JUNE 30: MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)
All individuals who are serving or who have served in the military are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.
JULY 2: FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT (vs Waynesboro)
All police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.
JULY 4: 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION (vs Waynesboro)
The annual 4th of July game against the Waynesboro Generals returns, where fans are invited to attend the game and enjoy fireworks from the hillside afterwards.
JULY 7: BARK IN THE PARK NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)
A Tom Sox fan favorite returns, as all furry friends are welcome at the ballpark. The CASPCA will be on-hand with adoption resources, and additional dog-related activities are planned.
JULY 14: WOMEN IN SPORTS NIGHT (vs Covington)
The Tom Sox will spotlight local & national women in sports throughout the night.
JULY 16: EDUCATOR APPRECIATION NIGHT (vs Harrisonburg)
All educators, administrators, and related individuals are invited to the ballpark, where they will be honored throughout the night.
Additional details related to these promotions will be released closer to their dates, and additional promotions may be added at a later date.
The 2021 Tom Sox season gets underway on June 5, when the ‘Sox are scheduled to host the Covington Lumberjacks at Barnett Field at Charlottesville High School. The 2021 schedule features 42 home games, 21 of which are at home. 30 games are against division opponents (Covington, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro), and the remaining 12 are doubleheaders against North opponents. As previously announced, admission to all games will be free for the 2021 season courtesy of Carter Bank & Trust.
