Seth Dvorak joins the Tom Sox after serving the past three seasons as the Graduate Assistant at North Park University (Elmhurst, Ill.).

As NPU’s Grad Assistant, Dvorak assisted with infield and catcher defense, along with individualized work with hitters. Off the field, he scouted for the Vikings, and contributed data analysis towards their future recruiting classes.

While at North Park, he coached players such as Jake Reinhardt, Ethan Sund, and Ranko Stevanovic. In the 2021 season, both Reinhardt and Stevanovic batted over .300 and fielded over .950, while Sund tossed a team-leading 73 strikeouts.

Additionally, Dvorak served as Head Baseball Coach of the Illinois Indians 17U Navy travel team in 2020. During his time with the Indians, he also engaged in player development and recruitment.

While at North Park, Dvorak spent two years with Prep Baseball Report. He assisted in scouting, player analysis, player profiling, and showcase events while with PBR.

Dvorak played two seasons for the Vikings, where he earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Second Team All-Region honors his senior year after batting .346 with seven homers, 50 runs, 62 hits, and 99 total bases. The Elmhurst, Ill. native also slugged 14 doubles, stole 11 bases, and marked 132 assists as a shortstop. He led the Vikings with 18 multi-hit games, carried a 10-game hitting streak, and reached base 17-straight times.

In a standout performance against UW-Stout, Dvorak went 3-for-4 at the plate with five runs scored, four RBI, two doubles, and assisted on six plays from shortstop. He also had two games where he totaled four hits – both against North Central College on May 4 and May 5.

Additionally, Dvorak was a two-time All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selection (2017, 2018) as an infielder.

Prior to his time at North Park, Dvorak played two seasons at Oakton Community College.

Dvorak graduated from North Park in 2018 with a degree in sports management and recently completed his MBA.

Seth Dvorak joins Head Coach Kory Koehler (San Jacinto) and Pitching Coach John Maley on the 2021 staff.
